FOUNDING

1983

Trickatelier Wilk is founded in 1983 by camera operator Thomas Wilk.
Cartoons, commercials, trailers, animations for medical and political information films, opening credits and end credits for hundreds of films
is the beginning. Subtitles for silent films such as, “Metropolis”,
“Das alte Gesetz”, “Asphalt” and many others emerged.

1983 TO

2006

During the first years at Feurigstrasse 22 in Berlin-Schöneberg, trickWILK quickly becomes the contact point for many well-known names in the industry; Tom Tykwer, Till Schweiger, Alphaville and many more were among the guests. It did not always stay with coffee, every now and then you could try a bottle or two of wine from our wine shop in the backyard.

Over the course of time, further works such as filmrecording of short and feature films, trailers and commercials were added to the diverse field of activity.

SASCHA WILK

2007

In 2007, Sascha Wilk, Thomas Wilk's nephew, joined the team. He quickly familiarized himself with the various areas of responsibility and was soon able to take on all the important tasks.

CREATING DCPS

2009

In order to adapt to the trend towards digitization in film & television,
the creation of DCPs for the area of ​​responsibility will be added in 2009. Depending on the customer's requirements, this can be created/sent encrypted or unencrypted.

2010

2010 the next milestone - the 100th feature film is developed.

NEW MANAGEMENT BOARD

2014

Since 2014 Sascha Wilk has not only taken over the technical management but also the management, the company name
remains the same.

NEW SYNERGIES

2020

In order to expand the range of offers, to further optimize working processes and to be able to carry out orders even more efficiently, trickWILK will move together with the colorist Clemens Seiz to new rooms in Behmstraße, Berlin-Gesundbrunnen in summer 2020. We want to use and expand the resulting synergy effect in the interest of our customers.
